HOME VISITS

In January we spent time visiting the homes of each person that is involved in the program. In these visits we learn more about their needs, culture, and customs. The daily visits allow us the chance to participate in their day-to-day activities, helping us learn the best ways to manage a Community Center in the community of Chajul.

NEW COMMUNITY CENTER

2 rooms with tiled floor, running water, a bathroom, and a seperate kitchen
1 room acts as a classroom & the other room for dining
Provide clean water, meals, and healthy snacks to 60 people daily
10 students received a scholarships for a year of school (February 2023 - December 2023)
Purchase and transport a large commercial propane stove
5 scholarship recipients are being trained as student teachers.
Start a General Education & Art Program for the children and elderly.
